Event Notification

Portal menu: Reports > Email Notifications > Event Notification

The Event Notification page sets up email alerts that are sent when certain events occur in your environment, such as a password being changed for a local user, or a file being blocked because malware was detected.

Who receives event notifications

Event notifications are configured per portal user. The alerts are sent to the email address of the portal user who is signed in when the notification is set up, and the page shows that address at the top. There is no field for other recipients.

To send event notifications to a different mailbox, such as a shared IT mailbox, create a portal user with that email address and set up the notification while signed in as that user.

NOTE

Event notifications are separate from the email notifications sent for new requests. Request notifications, which can go to several email addresses, are set in the Notification setting under Settings > [OS] Settings > Authorization.

If you receive more than 100 event notification emails in a day, only the first 100 are sent that day, to avoid flooding your inbox.
